A brief history of the group:
KISSexy was born in 1993, from my idea of creating a very special tribute, at that tome still to come. The masks came from the ones KISS made famous in the'70s by KISS, but we revisited the costumes in  female way and strictly ... SEXY!
In 1995 the group were invited to participate to a KISS-Konvention Tour (Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, England), a celebratory rally organized by the circuit of multiple major KISS fan club in Europe. Guest of honor of those evenings was Ace Frehley of KISS. The first goal was reached...
March 1999: with a renewed line up , Psycho Circus Tour  only Italian date (sold out!) at the Forum in Milan, my KISSexy are the main event in an evening of celebration organized by the KISS Army International at Binario Zero in Milan. Just to warm up the atmosphere and the fans before the concert  that marks the great return to Italy of the original KISS! For KISSexy it’s yet another triumph, so big that KISS asks to meet us backstage at the Forum in Milan!
At this point, the new step is a magic quintet, with the coming of the a new Space Ace exceptionally a boy to make it even more original and fun! Peculiarity of KISSexy, is the particular choice of songs to steal from the KISS catalogue: we decide to play next to the inevitable classics as Detroit Rock City, Deuce, Shout It Out Loud, Love Gun,  Cold Gin and Rock 'n' Roll All Nite , obscure songs like Makin 'Love, Creatures Of The Night , Tomorrow,  Flaming Youth , Sure Know Something , Comin' Home  Nothing To Lose, C'mon And Love Me, Let's Put The X In Sex (how could it fail!),  Lick It Up and the romantic Forever , an acoustic version of Hard Luck Woman (do not forget that the KISS, among their 30 albums have also recorded an Unplugged!), Heaven's On Fire and the recent multiple (do I say now) success Psycho Circus. Both offer a framework for multiple yet rich and full of the legend of KISS! And to the delight of die-hard fans!
2003, leaving the so tribute all Italian Italians KISS BETTER ... AN ITALIAN TRIBUTE TO KISS on Blue Music: The KISSexy certainly could not miss in their tracklist with a captivating version of Detroit Rock City.
In 2004 we were invited to participate to the most important Metal festival in Spain, Lorca Rock Festival! Another travel abroad which marks yet another triumph in the billing included bands like Dream Evil, After Forever, Crematory, Axel Rudi Pell, Magnum, TNT and Europe as a headliner. We took stage at 3 o'clock in the morning and we took our best out to give to 8000 fans one of the best performances of our entire career (www.lorcarockfestival.com), with Mike Terran (Rage, Axel Rudi Pell) as special guest playd our game of strip on the notes of Take It Off ... ;-)
2006 is the year of a turning point: Scheherazade Privitello (and who is an expert on opera such surname will not sound obscure), with her oriental name, and the grit of a lion, is the new band singer. At the same time yet another dream :  on 22 August the KISSexy-version of Lick It Up appears on the CD Girls Got Rhythm distributed all over the world, it’s tribute album made by only female cover bands (to our immense flattery, one of the best band from around the world), produced and distributed by American Century Media! 2008, at the press conference to present the European tour, KISS greet my KISSexy, and in particular me, Barbara Caserta, KISS fan for over 25 years and actively recruit by the KISS Army International (no coincidence but with the recent concert in Milan, I made my 70 KISS concerts seen all over the world!). Knowing that, KISS loves me and respect me as much as I respect them, it is truly a priceless feeling and certainly to be an elected ;-). A few days after the official conference (to which I was invited as my main job is music journalist and photographer since 1990), All Music performs a TV special on KISS giving a wide space to KISSexy ... What / who let you know KISS:
The cover photo of  I WAS MADE FOR LOVING YOU. I still remember the scene as if it were yesterday: a friend of mine rushes at home and prays his mother to give her 2000 lire ... all excited ... then runs into stationery shop (then records wre also sold in such shops in small towns like where I lived) and buys greedily the single as it was the Holy Grail... I remember that I could not stand waiting as I wanted to touch and listen to this object of desire ... still unaware of the effect that would have on me ... ;-)) ... It simply CHANGED  MY LIFE ... 1979, it was about 30 years ago and still KISS emotions like the first day ...

What is most difficult to replicate in the performances you propose?
Since KISSexy mainly women tribute band we are a special case! We want to be a revised version of KISS: apart from the trick, stay faithful to the original, our costumes and show is definitely sewn upon our female attitude. And then we have a 5 persons line up unlike all other bands, because our Paul has always focused on voice and his role as Front Girl and so we have a second guitar Vinnie Vincent!
A technical opinion on the components of past and present KISS
KISS has always took as a primary level their rock scenic impact, by choice. They have always chosen really effective tunes rather than complex songs, to get straight to the hearts of fans. You can accept their language and then recognize their value. You may learn technicalities; on the contrary you should have in your blood imagination and talent and KISS have never missed! Over the years, they have succeeded in cultivating their way and this paid them back like few other artists in the Music Business. You can only love them or hate them but if their avid fans have never left them(and I am a living proof!) there will be a reason! They wrote pages of the History of Rock, nobody may deny it!

I can not say that I was not fully satisfied given the results achieved in my professional life and in the music ... if I have to ... well if I could dare  I'd like to play  a songs, maybe Black Diamond (I sang it while being in KISSexy ) with the real KISS! Too much? ;-)
