KISSOLOGY TRIBUTE BAND

How to know better KISSOLOGY? Here you are a cool chat with boys. Enjoy!

When KISSOLOGY was born and why did you decide to tribute KISS?
ALE: KISSOLOGY was born from my idea of emulating KISS after discovering by chance when I was about 12, I was made for lovin’ you/ Hard times in my father’s album collection. The sonic impact, but especially the visuals left me speechless. I decided to learn to play guitar and put together a tribute band. A couple of years later I got Shawn, first on guitar then on bass, my younger brother, who at the time was trying to emulate me (!) on rhythm guitar, and Logan on drums. We went to my parents’ garage appartment, closed the door and started rehearsing.
PSYCHO: emulating??... Let’s say I was curious my self to learn guitar anyway.... I was just a little reluctant to play only KISS music. I like a different kind of music, you can see it also from my look. But I soon started to appreciate them.
LOGAN: At the beginning I did not get along well with Ale... We had different friends and moods; then one day we found ourselves talking music and discovering our common love for KISS. They kept pushing me to start playing drums and then ... well it all started. Ale has become my brother in arms.
SHAWN: I did not know KISS so much at the time! I've always been a huge Queen fan, bad that I still love! But when the boys started handing me KISS albums and after seeing what a character Gene Simmons is (in which I relate a lot to), it was love at first sight!
WILD STEEL: I am the newest member in the band... the band needed a singer and a frontman, the Paul Stanley for the situation for the case.  I never considered such a project because I thought it was way too difficult to replicate such an artist in a worthy manner, then one day I knew they were looking for a singer. I offered, I wanted to give a try. I immediately saw the passion and love that these young men felt for KISS and above all the commitment and enthusiasm in trying to reproduce the same sound of the band from New York. And they were great. We met for the first time on a Thursday and the following Saturday, 2 days later, we were in playing our first gig glive together.
What is the historical period you like the most in KISS career?
ALE: I love Ace above all, he is my absolute idol. With all the due respect for the other band members, even the ones who replaced him later, but what KISS was in the 70's with Ace and Peter…WOW!! What energy!! it was crazy! Those were the heyday for KISS to me, I take form that period all what I do with my guitar and my sound ...
PSYCHO: all heavier songs! I do not have a favorite period but I like different songs from different eras...
LOGAN: Eric Singer has been a teacher for me. I discovered KISS when I was 5 years, with REVENGE, which I still think it is still one of their best album ever, with the best (from a musicianship perspective) line up in their career. They also demonstrated that later with Carnival of Souls, which although is not totally in line with the KISS style, is an amazing album in my opinion.
SHAWN: I like both KISS from the early days and the ones form REVENGE, that I too thing is the best KISS line up ever. Anyhow KISS is KISS, the hottest band in the world!
WILD STEEL: I like the most the “harder” KISS. I absolutely love Paul’s voice, and I do think he gave his best on records like Asylum and Crazy Nights, albums I like so much, my favorite ones.
Have you ever met a member of the group?
LOGAN: Wild and I recently had a chance to meet Eric and Bruce at an ESP concert.
I think I can say that after my wedding that was the happiest day of my life!
It has been a pleasure to find them so down to earth and willing to chat with us (they even  autographed a KISSOLOGY T-shirt). I met my idol!!
WILD STEEL: It 'was really exciting! Bruce is my favorite KISS guitar player!
Future plans and dreams?
LOGAN: we are starting writing our own music ... even if we all have a daily job and it is very difficult to find the time!! Dreams... needless to say I would love to play a gig with KISS!
ALE: Unfortunately, we have very different jobs and our free time always is not the same for all!
PSYCHO: Yeas you’re right... however, our album is coming (we still have no exact date, but certainly within this year) our first live album! And we can already say it will be great!
